They turned up! An hour and half late but hey so what the van is being loaded as I type.

Mollie Puppy Dog (MPD) is very pleased with herself. The kiddie gate at the bottom of the stairs has been removed to make it easier to access upstairs. She is running up and down the stairs like a lunatic! Poor cobweb who has retreated into the back bedroom is looking very cross with the intrusion of the black hooligan and the fact that her hidey holes behind boxes and furniture are being demolished in front of her eyes. Trying to keeping her sweet with a tin of tuna - not easy balancing a dish of tuna and a very fat fury feline on a narrow windowsill out of reach of MPD, who would do anything to scoff the fish. Calvin Kat (CK) on the other hand is paws up in his hammock in the kitchen oblivious to all the hype going on around him. He could and does sleep for Britain.

Oh, I better mention the fish or they will get a complex as they haven't been included! They are swimming as usual. Probably glad that Cobweb is not sitting on the lid keeping warm from the heat of the electric light and dangling her paw through the feeding hole hoping for a small morsel to eat.

Will not be able to collect from London until tomorrow. I was not a happy bunny. All the planning and time gone into preparing for today to be dashed. So, if they can be bothered to turn up they are expected at 8:30. We will see, is all I have to say on the matter.

I seem to have been on an over drive of adrenaline for the last 48 hours. At least I will have an early night. TV and DVD are packed and sealed and chairs full of boxes, so off to bed I think

Dottie, Were you sitting on my shoulder as you said you would be? I guess you were, just not able to do anything. Two years today and remembering. I miss your smile, your friendship and your enthuthiasm for life itself. You kicked me in the arse when I need it most and was always gave me hugs along the way for no real reason! You were one of the best and I miss you.

No need to sort, box, archive, chuck and transfer possessions of a life time.

The end of three long weeks of packing and sorting. Removal van and men arrive mid-day to load up the stuff I am keeping and transferring to safe keeping in Lancaster. Then the vultures will descend from house clearance and the local auction in Chiswick to see if I can sell any of the clutter and tatt I seem to have accumulated over the years.

That gives me about a month to re-decorate, county cream throughout and change the bedroom carpets before the tenants move in at the beginning of April.

I am knackered, heads in a spin. Leaving Ealing is going to be really hard. Lots of memories, not all good but they have certainly left there mark on me one way or another. I guess moving is always difficult. This place was my first home, mortgaged with the love of my life. Thirteen years later I have decided to let it out for a year and explore new horizons. 11 long years since he died and I still miss him. Leaving here will be good for me I know, A new beginning a clean slate!

Dog to walk and breakfast to scoff before all the shit hits the fan
